When designing the Up-Lift armchair and sofa, we had an innovative idea: to transform them with a simple gesture. This gesture gives the whole an elegant and rhythmic movement, orchestrated with finesse. By pulling the backrest forwards, the armrests, resting on the floor, become the off-center pivot point around which the sofa easily unfolds into a functional bed. This interactive transformation pleasantly surprises, giving full meaning to the design line.
Our concept is original and unprecedented: it transforms this often laborious action of unfolding an armchair or a sofa into a delicious game through its ingenuity. Complicated mechanisms are now a thing of the past, while maintaining optimal seating and lying comfort.
